But I popped on today, and finally took a short look at Prezi, something I've been meaning to do all semester. I still don't have a very good handle on it, but it looks like it could be a cool alternative to Powerpoint. Much less linear and graphic - more "cinematic" if you will. I also know there is a collaborative component through Prezi Meeting, but still haven't had a good chance to explore. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get a better chance, and maybe I'll use it instead of PPT for my presentation for my next class. We'll see!
My timing was has been off since the beginning of last week because my work computer thought daylight savings ended LAST week!!!
ReplyDeleteBut wow what a great tip regarding Prezi...this is something I am looking into and it may be helful in designing my training program for my other class!
Robin discussed Prezi in TLW a few weeks ago as the ladies were discussing PPT and alternatives. Sounds pretty cool, but alas, I've not checked it out either! It's getting more difficult to stay connected as the semester wanes and projects pile up . . .
ReplyDeleteOh boy - my kids clocks are all messed up after the time change. My household is up around 5am all of a sudden! Yikes! So this Prezi sounds pretty cool and I am excited to check it out. I like the idea that it is more cinematic than linear.
